Monday morning was a miserable snowy, windy day with gusts up to 80mph that closed half of the resort. Tuesday, however, we woke up to clear blue skies, no wind, and 6 inches of fresh powder!
This was the snow conditions at 8:45am (about 15 minutes after the lifts opened). There was fresh, amazing powder all over the mountain!
One our way up the lift my friend dropped his backpack off the lift at a height of about 40ft, which had my D300s in it. We raced down to the backpack and found my camera without a scratch. This was the first photo I took while making sure it was a-ok. Luckily there was an apple on the bottom of his bag that took the brunt of the fall (and was squished half way in!)
