Our plane from SFO to Lima

We arrived from Lima (and Cusco) on this plane into Puerto Maldonado. Our trip is about to start!

Mike, Fanny, and Sasha in our "Inkaterra" bus that's about to take us into the rain forest! Inkaterra runs the Hacienda that we were staying, picked us up at the airport, and ran an overall amazing trip.

We were given Starfruit juice when we first arrived, as they checked us in at their Butterfly House. These were super yummy!

These little motorcycle scooter things are all over Peru. We took one of these from the ruins in Ollantaytambo to the train station before we departed for Machu Picchu. This is the only good picture we had of this, so I included it just for reference! Photo by Sasha MacDonald

Look it's the Golden Gate Bridge! In Peru! Oh, and those are the boats we were taking down the river to our lodge. They're bigger than they look here. They could fit something like 25 people

This married couple was also on our trip although we had just met them that day. They were a lot of fun too!

The Hacienda! Our home for 4 days and 3 nights

This is the dining room area where we had all our buffet meals. There was a super awesome waiter who took care of us too
