A
This town has one letter for its name, "A", but it's pronounced more like "ouh". We can't quite get it right. It has a great lake and is the southern most part of Lofoton. You can't go any further
Uttakleiv Beach
After arriving in Norway at night and getting some sleep, we began our explorations by visiting Uttakleiv Beach.
Voiepollen
Exploring the ice and reflections near Voiepollen. We'd come back here to shoot Aurora another night.
Bread Slicer
We were intrigued that you could pick out any whole loaf of bread, then put it in this contraption and it would turn it into freshly sliced bread!
Leknes
On the drive towards Reine, just outside the town of Leknes, we get our first view of the amazing fjords.
Driving around Lofoton
A few views as we explored Lofoton and drove around scouting out the fjords.
Nappskaret Viewpoint
As you drive down the road you come to this amazing view of the fjords!
Flakkstapollen
Flakkstapollen is probably my favorite area in Lofoton -- it's this U shaped inlet that has some of the most amazing jagged mountain peaks. The fjords offers a number of chances to combine ice, waves, water, and mountain together.
